Miniature signed by Pierre-Aimé Demange (1802-1853), dated 1829. A portrait of great delicacy, testifying to the miniaturist's talent for precision of features and expressiveness of the gaze. The painting is mounted in its original period chiseled metal frame, protected by slightly convex glass.
The rendering of the face is remarkable: finesse of the hair, accuracy of the skin tones, vividness of the gaze. A sensitive portrait that illustrates the technical mastery of Demange, an artist recognized in reference works (Lemoine-Bouchard, Bénézit).
Frame dimensions: 15 x 12.3 cm. View: 13.1 x 10.3 cm. The miniature is fixed onto thick antique cardboard. Presence of a vertical split on the right side.
