Exceptional 19th-century reliquary monstrance, likely in filigree silver (positive touchstone test). This rare piece combines the elegant form of a monstrance with a reliquary dedicated to Saint John the Baptist.
The object is distinguished by its 23 finely set red stones and its crowning cross. The central reliquary medallion, protected by a glass pane, houses the relic. The monstrance itself remains open, without glass, revealing its delicate filigree work.
Dimensions: 15 cm x 7 cm. Hallmarks present attesting to its authenticity and provenance. An exceptional collector's piece for enthusiasts of liturgy and antique religious goldsmithing.
