Exceptional 18th-century Parisian olive spoon, dated 1749-1750 during the reign of Louis XV. This masterpiece of goldsmithing features remarkably fine piercing on the bowl, characteristic of the double-thread pattern of the era. Authentic Paris hallmarks (charge and discharge 1744-1750, crowned letter-date I) and a partially visible silversmith's mark. The handle is engraved with the initials of a former owner, bearing witness to its history. Restamped for old works attesting to its antiquity (Momus heads and Phrygian cap). Solid silver, 154 grams, length 30.8 cm. A collector's piece for the connoisseur of antique silverware.
