Magnificent silver and silver-gilt ciborium from the Lyon workshop of André Favier, a renowned master goldsmith (1826–1850), bearing the Minerve hallmark attesting to its authenticity.

This exceptional piece is distinguished by its refined execution and rich religious iconography. The polylobed base features an engraved Latin inscription: "Panis angelorum factus est cibus hominum" (The bread of angels has become the food of men), accompanied by six biblical figures in dialogue with the twelve apostles—six adorning the cup and six the lid, which is topped by a cross.

Dimensions: 33 cm in height. Weight: 840 grams.

Condition: excellent. A work of goldsmithing of great quality, a testament to 19th-century Lyonnais craftsmanship.
