The partially hollowed-out disk rests on a knee-joint tripod and features a full 360-degree scale with double reversed numbering (10-180 x 2). Four fixed pinnules, each equipped with a slit and a window, allow for precise sighting. The integrated compass retains its sixteen-point wind rose adorned with a fleur-de-lis at north, although the needle is missing and the dial is cracked, bearing witness to its age.
